Get to know NCA
The admissions process has been designed to ensure a good fit between Niagara Classical Academy and your family.
Families interested in NCA are encouraged to first access information on our website, being sure to read our Mission and Vision Statements, our Statement of Faith, and our Core Family Values. We also ask that you read An Introduction to Classical Education: A Guide for Parents by Christopher A Perrin.
Arrange a meeting or attend an information session.
We’d love to meet with you to discuss the education of your children. A face-to-face meeting provides the opportunity for us to further share our vision for Niagara Classical Academy, and for you to meet with our headmaster, discuss our curriculum, and ask questions. We will provide you with an enrolment application after this meeting.
Complete a new student application package
To apply, please submit the following:
- Completed NCA Enrolment Application.
- If applicable, copies of the student’s most recent report card and attendance record. If previously homeschooled, please provide a brief summary (up to one page) of the most recent academic year (classes taught, student’s achievements).
- A non-refundable application fee of $200.
Schedule a Family Interview
Both parents (if applicable) and the prospective students will meet with the Headmaster for an interview. During the interview, there will be time allocated for discussing the school’s Statement of Faith and Core Family Values, and the Christopher A. Perrin article listed above.
Notification in Writing
Your family will be notified of NCA’s decision in writing.
Student Assessment
During the interview process, students may complete reading, writing, and mathematics placement tests to determine appropriate grade enrolment. This is not a qualification for admission, but a diagnostic so that we know the appropriate class to place your children in order to best serve them.
Enrolment
Families that have been accepted for enrolment will be required to provide a $500 non-refundable commitment fee (per family), to be deducted from annual tuition, within one week of their notification to secure a spot in their respective classes.
Tuition Rates for the 2026-27 school year
NCA operates on a family tuition model: there is one rate for families with one student, and another rate for families with more than one student. Whether you have two or six students enrolled, you will pay the same multiple-student rate.
Single student: $10,850
Multiple students: $16,500
Fee Schedule
Tuition payment plans are arranged upon enrolment.
Other Fees
Commitment fee: A non-refundable commitment fee of $500 per family will be required within one week of acceptance to ensure your child’s spot in his/her class. The fee will be deducted from your remaining tuition payment.
In addition to tuition, families will be responsible for school uniforms and supplies. Select field trips or special activities may require additional fees.
Materials fee: Each family will be responsible for a flat fee of $30 for classroom supplies (pencils, tape, paper, notebooks, etc.) We do this to ease the burden on parents, and to make sure students have a consistent standard of school supplies.
Bursaries
A limited amount of tuition bursary funding is available each year for qualifying families. For information on tuition assistance and bursaries, please contact us.
Financial Assistance for School Tuition
FAST (Financial Assistance for School Tuition) is an organization that assists private schools in establishing accurate financial profiles for their current and prospective families. Information is gathered online with dignity and confidentiality. School boards are assisted in making informed tuition relief decisions and our parents benefit from a number of financial incentives that can be accessed through FAST. For example, tuition rates exceeding $10,000 may qualify for a 20% Clergy Family Discount, or additional financial aid based on need. All NCA families are encouraged to complete a FAST Financial Profile once each year.
